Discussion

There are some specializations of this role, in particular MatronRole and GateKeeper.  A public character is one that goes outward beyond the immediate job, and communicates with a wide range of people.  Such a person brings many benefits, he draws the team together, he knows where knowledge is to be found, he aids in building a common team culture.
