The team works together in an open room.  There are tables with workstations, and whiteboards etc. covering the walls for shared information.  Everybody is within earshot of each other.

Discussion

Having the team together in an open workspace enables people to detect when others need help, or when one could provide the help another needs.  This fits well with DevelopingInPairs, because the pairs will always need to speak to each other.  A study has shown that this, far from being a distraction, can actually increase productivity (Ref 1).
