Trouble happens. The response to it is not handled in the best way. Identify the trouble, identify the appropriate response, clear up afterward.
There are many potential crises. The individual risks addressed on the list give appropriate responses, where they are known. Even when the crisis is not directly in the schedule or WorkQueue, the crisis may result in the need for radical adjustment.
Individual forms of crisis will have individual responses. Commonly, a crisis will lead to a scheduling crisis that may need to be tackled by a RecommitmentMeeting.
Agile methodologies tend to keep abreast of issues, address them and adjust expectations constantly. One specific technique of note is SCRUM’s variant of the StandUpMeeting that constantly assesses and adjusts Project Management tactics.
